When imagination collides with reality in space
A group of friends plays a role-playing game while traveling on a spaceship, where one of them named Bender misinterprets the situation, thinking they are betting. During the journey they run out of fuel and end up in a dangerous neighborhood, where they must obtain more to continue, while facing mockery from others and holding onto the hope of winning an event called the demolition derby.
