Eight finished micro-dramas short enough for one sitting, in seven languages, from a driver who turns down his boss to a man who dates by the rules of quantum physics.

Victoria tells her driver to keep driving, then to stop the car and get out. Ikenna is fired. At home he tells his wife, Amaka, why: Victoria wanted him to sleep with her, and he said no. Amaka asks whether he really refused. Does he know how much money that woman has?
That is the first episode of The Broken Trust, and the 14th and last, Final part, is already up. Most of our October picks were still adding episodes. Every series here has ended in 20 episodes or fewer, nearly all of them three minutes or less, and the eight come from eight creators in seven languages.
That rule cost us Rajjo, a Hindi series in which Prasad plays every character: it has a Final Episode, but most episodes run six to twelve minutes. The list starts with three-minute episodes.
The Broken Trust

In Indecent Proposal, a rich man offers a couple a million dollars for a night with the wife. The Broken Trust swaps every seat: the money is a woman’s, the husband is the one she wants, and his wife tells him to say yes. Ikenna calls his refusal loyalty and discipline. Amaka calls it pride: they have six children. Grown children, he says. Offered his job back, he says no, and Amaka calls him a fool. He goes anyway, and he and Victoria agree that yesterday never happened.
After one episode there are three candidates for the trust of the title. Victoria’s demand is harassment, and at home it becomes a question of household money. If you want her punished early, know that she apologises and keeps her driver; if you like a marriage argument with no easy side, start here.
Zawaj al-Maslaha

The deal is done before anyone at home hears of it. The title, زواج المصلحة, means marriage of convenience, and the series opens outside the house, where a father promises another man that the girl will be his: a man’s word. Indoors, his wife first asks whether he brought the bread. He did. Then the news: a man with companies wants to marry their daughter.
Tevye makes the same promise to the butcher in Fiddler on the Roof, over a drink. Episode 1 is all talk, in Darja, the everyday Arabic of North Africa: hard going if you know only formal Arabic, a treat if you like a negotiation at the kitchen table. The 12th episode is titled, plainly, the last.
Paavappettavalum Panakkaarum

Where does the new maid sleep? The title, പാവപെട്ടവളും പണക്കാരും, means The Poor Woman and the Rich. A woman from Malappuram arrives at a big house with her daughter, to do the housework. Someone suggests the guest room. The lady of the house, Mummy to her family, asks whether the woman came here to rest, and sends them to a lean-to shed with a mat. Her daughter, amazed by the house on the way in, now asks about snakes.
In a genre crowded with secret billionaires, this one spends its first episode on a room. It suits viewers who like class drama small. One warning for a single sitting: episode 2 runs past seven minutes.
Quantum Dating

Aarav has been on his phone since morning, and he has a theory. Talk to one girl and there is one possible outcome: heartbreak. Talk to several at once and the outcomes multiply. That, he tells his friend Kabir, is quantum dating. Kabir has a ruder word for it, and a warning about mental health, which Aarav says only suffers with commitment. Then he admits he wants a girl who understands him.
By episode 2, the notes say, he has booked two dates in the same café, an hour apart. Watch it for a confident hero who is wrong. Skip it if you need him to grow up, because the last episode’s title has him swearing off the mistake, then announcing three dates for the day.
After Firing Me, My Old Boss Lost an 8-Million Deal

Most comeback stories make you wait for the boss to beg. This one opens on it: in the first episode of 开除我后，前老板痛失800万大单, the old boss offers Su Wan 200,000 to come back, and she tells him to dream on.
The channel’s summary says Su Wan, a senior sales expert, was pushed out by her boss and a well-connected new hire, whose English then sank an 8-million German deal. Notes on the last episodes add an order she won, the boss taking the credit, and cheap red wine as her reward. They promise 打脸, face-slapping: the scene where her doubters are proven wrong. Another saleswoman nobody takes seriously, and Su Wan’s story from the other end: here the doubt comes at the interview. They need an expert in sales and business, the interviewer says, “no un aspirante de la NASA” (not someone applying to NASA). Sales and finance are her field, she answers, and the company’s likely clients are in Brazil. He cannot decide whether to call her miss or madam.
The title (They turned her down for her looks, and you won’t believe what her boss does) promises a twist, and every episode but the last runs 61 seconds, like one short film cut into equal lengths. Take it in one go, straight after Su Wan’s. Linis Florez has 44 Spanish series on ShortFlix, all titled like plot summaries.

Andrea is sure she has won. Her lover is finally leaving that good-for-nothing for her, she says. Of course he is, he says. Then: of course not. He would never leave Lady for her. Andrea was a pastime, and he wishes her well.
The title means A man is no more a man for having several women, so you know whose side the other 13 episodes are on. Next to Quantum Dating, it is the same juggling with the opposite ending: this channel promises a lesson. If you would rather judge the man yourself, the title has beaten you to it.
Po Bava

The shortest episodes here belong to a cousin who has caught you out. In Telugu, bava means a brother-in-law or a male cousin, and po means go away. In the 53-second first episode, an aunt rings to say that Anitha is coming to town for an interview. Anitha then catches her bava at a habit she did not know about, promises to tell, and is refused a lift. She will deal with him, she says, when he gets home in the evening.
Episode 11 runs 31 seconds. Finish this one in a queue, and skip it if you want a slow build. Saikrishna Pedapati wrote, directed and acts in it.
Only Quantum Dating hints at more: its last episode’s notes ask viewers whether they want a second season.
